Below, we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to our campground may have.

1). Is there access to Lake Manitoba from the campground?

Yes, the campground is located along the bank of the Whitemud River which flows out to Lake Manitoba approximately 10 km’s to the north.

2). Can I launch my boat if I am not staying at the campground?

Yes, for a $5.00 fee you can launch your boat from our boat launch.

3). How far is the campground from the Trans Canada Highway?

The campground is located 30 km’s north on the Yellow Head Highway #16 (just north of Westbourne).

4). How far is the campground from Winnipeg?

It will take you about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Winnipeg.

5). What kind of fish are available in the river and lake?

Pickerel (Walleye), Freshwater Drum and Perch are the most common however in certain area’s you may also catch Northern Pike, Rock Bass and Carp.

6). Is there a store at the campground?

Yes, we have a well stocked store that is open daily throughout the season.

7). How far is it to the nearest golf course?

Gladstone Golf and Country Club has a beautiful 9 hole course. It is about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the campground.

8). Can I purchase a fishing license at the campground?

We have conservation, full, senior and children’s fishing licenses available at the store.
